Bio
A fast-paced, ever moving, teacher, and student Emily is in a constant state of learning. An accomplished speaker and coach she works to enhance company culture and promote career advancement but identifying key elements that perpetuate roadblocks. Her research focused on career advancement and implementation of leadership and mentorship programs. Emily has combined her research with design thinking methods as a Univeristy Innovation Fellow with the Stanford d.School.
Emily Schubert has a passion for professional development and helping individuals entering and moving up through the workforce. A large component of her coaching and training is embedded with improving networking skills and bridging gaps between groups of people. We are more alike than we are different, creating connections begins with finding them.

The Invisible Work of Women
Based on her institutional ethnography Emily breaks down the barriers of academic research to paint a picture of the practices and policies that build barriers for women in the workplace and the recommendations to avoid and repair the challenges they created. Emily's research identifies the invisible work women feel pressure to accept and the impact of the pressure to provide care for those they work with on their ability to access support and mentorship.
A Journey through Leadership and Legacy
Based on Emily's case study within the healthcare system on the journey nursing managers and directors go through as they navigate new roles and leadership functions. Participants will walk away with examples they can use in their workplace, no matter the industry, to make micro- or macro-changes in their organization to help prepare the next generation of leaders in the workforce.
Women in Business
Diversity is incredibly important, studies show the more diverse a team, the more effective. How do we as women get a seat at the table without being the B-word? An empowerment seminar to build the toolkit to support peers, encourage action, and sustain positive practices.
Multi-Generational Workforce
An interactive seminar on the ways of working to incorporate all generations and the variety of ages and experiences. As we approach the next generation entering the workplace we are faced with a unique situation: for the first time, five separate generations are working alongside one another. How do we navigate this? Is this good or bad? The main question, how do we use this to the advantage of all?
How to Be the Most Memorable Person in the Room: A Networking Guide
For anyone and everyone, first impressions last, and the best way to be memorable is to ask questions and engage in meaningful conversations. But how do we create meaningful conversations when we only have a few minutes? Being memorable is easier with a roadmap. Walk-through and co-build a step-by-step guide to navigate the challenge of "the approach" in meeting new people and trying to find ways to stay connected.
